The level and number of first aiders is subject to risk assessment. Where there is an Early Years setting, there is a requirement to have a Paediatric First Aider present at all times.

Full range of accredited First Aid Training:

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) – 1 day

  • Enables a first aider to provide emergency first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill at work

First Aid at Work (FAW)- 3 days

  • Includes EFAW and also equips the first aider to provide first aid for a range of specific injuries and illnesses

First Aid at Work Requalification – 2 days

  • A refresher training course to be arranged prior to expiry of current FAW certificate

Paediatric First Aid – 2 days

  • Enables a first aider to provide emergency first aid to a baby or child that is injured or becomes ill

Basic Life Support – 1/2 day

  • Focusing on recovery positions, CPR and use of AED
