Legionella is a naturally occurring bacteria found in water which can cause legionnaires disease and be fatal if contracted. Health and Safety regulations cover the requirements to manage water services to minimise the risks associated with legionella.

The regulations require the need for an adequate and current Legionella Risk Assessment to be in place to identify and manage any identified risks.
